SIPS Eco Lodge
The architect had a small plot 12m x 7.8m on to which he was charged with building a three bedroom lodge. His clever use of SIPs, specifically in the roof space, has allowed him to achieve his brief.

INTERESTING FACT: This was the first time Dennis, an experienced contractor/developer, had used SIPs on a contract; he was naturally slightly sceptical as to how the contract would come together, especially the complicated roof design. The roof was craned into position on Thursday 28th May and I quote Dennis, "....I must say I was well impressed today with the overall fit and professionalism of your guys. I would definitely use the system again and recommend the product." Another convert!
The materials
Foundation: Trench Fill
Walls and roof: SIPs - Structural Insulated Panels
Outer walls: Sand & cement render on a 12mm cement particle board.
Roof Tiles: Hand made clay tiles.
Heating: Condensing gas boiler running underfloor heating.
