SIPS Eco-extension to The Lock House, Bank Newton
Steve's intention was to build an eco friendly extension with a vaulted roof to the first floor, as the photographs show he has achieved that goal.
Development factfile

INTERESTING FACT: The SIPs walls were erected as single panels 4.9m high without a break. Once the walls were erected a hole was knocked through from the existing building to ascertain the first floor level. A rim board was then fixed to the SIPs walls in the correct position and the joists and decking were subsequently frixed to run in line with the existing floors.
