How are the R-values and thermal conductivities calculated?
The R-values and thermal conductivity ( -value) quoted for the CFC/HCFC-free rigid urethane insulation core of the SIP’s panels in the Kingspan TEK Building System are based on the procedures for the determination of the aged values of thermal resistance and thermal conductivity for the insulating component. These procedures are laid down in the latest harmonised European standard BS EN 13165, using the 90:90 principles of statistical analysis.
