How are Kingspan TEK panels joined together?
SIP’s in Kingspan TEK Building System connect by a 50 mm deep by 112 mm wide routed jointed which accommodates a 100 mm deep x 110mm wide cassette joint made of TEK panel. Alternatively a 100 mm x a twin 50 mm deep x 15 mm wide routed channel which accommodates two 15 mm x 100 mm OSB 3 splines. Expanding urethane sealant has to be applied in the central channel before the cassette or splines are installed. This jointing system in conjunction with the expanding urethane sealant enables the Kingspan TEK Building System to be very airtight.
