Published by Show House Magazine

This 31-Unit affordable housing scheme, designed to provide locals with affordable, sustainable homesfor life, achieved an EcoHomes rating of  'Very Good ', by using the TEK system. Based on Structural Insulated panel (SIPS) technology, the product delivers a low U-Value and high level of airtightness which is achieved by the panels sealed jointing system which minimised the amout of air that can pass through the joints once the system has been constructed.

Ian Neave, senior contracts manager at Youngs Homes, who specified the system for the project, told Show House that the system is perfect for housebuilders looking for a cost effective way to meet building regulations: " it offers design flexibility, fsat build times and very high levels of energy efficiency, and will cut heating bills for future residents by 80 percent, while reducing carbon emmissions by 70 percent."
